I watched several friends struggle with ambitious goals - starting businesses, learning new skills, getting fit - but traditional tracking apps weren't actually helping when motivation inevitably dropped. They'd set up elaborate systems, track progress religiously for weeks, then abandon everything when they hit their first real obstacle. The problem wasn't tracking; it was the lack of intelligent, personalized push-back when things got hard. I built Accountabilly to solve this by creating an AI coach that actually challenges you and asks the hard questions real accountability partners ask. This required the same problem-solving approach I use with clients: identifying the real issue (motivation drops, not tracking failures), designing a solution that addresses root causes (AI conversation that adapts to individual psychology), and building sustainable systems that work long-term (subscription model that grows with user engagement).
